Do you feel like you're stumbling through your day-to-day? Find it near impossible to tell people no, even when you know you should? Does it feel like you're stuck, no matter what you try to do?
Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotions? Do you struggle to cope with anxiety or depression? Have you had an experience that is holding you back from being the person you want to be?
If you're here, you probably feel like something has to change. You've been trying to handle things by yourself, but it's all beginning to feel a bit much. You might even find yourself wearing a mask to hide how you feel inside, which can be incredibly lonely.
I know what a big decision it is to decide to talk to someone about these things, and I want to congratulate you for being courageous enough to take that first step.
I've struggled with anxiety and setting boundaries in my own life, so I know how difficult it can be to take that first step. I'm an integrative counsellor and therapist offering a safe, confidential space for you to explore and grow.
I'm particularly skilled at helping people set boundaries, express their needs, and break free from frustrating people-pleasing patterns. I've found that working on these areas helps to build self-worth, create healthier relationships, and give you greater control over your life, which is particularly beneficial if you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or overwhelm. I am also passionate about helping people avoid burnout.
Together, we'll uncover your true self and work towards your best life. I know how important it is to find the right therapist, which is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can see if we are a good match.
Ever think of counselling as a quick-fix or a cure-all? Let's break that myth. Counselling isn't a magical solution that will instantly solve everything. It's more like a journey we take together, exploring your thoughts and feelings. It's not about fixing you—it's about helping you understand yourself better, so you can pick up the tools to handle life's twists and turns. No quick fixes here, just a gradual process of self-discovery and plenty of support as you navigate your unique path to growth.
Think of psychotherapy as a deep dive into your life story. We dig into your past to see how it shapes who you are now. It's like turning the pages of a book about yourself—we don't just skim the surface, we go deeper. By shining a light on hidden feelings and experiences, we help you understand where your actions come from. This isn't just about talking through problems; it's about gaining a fresh perspective and using that insight to navigate the challenges of today.

When we work together, I blend different methods, but I'm primarily person-centred. We're in this together, walking side by side as we figure things out. In our chats, you're in the driver's seat—you set the pace and bring up whatever's on your mind. This way, we can tailor our journey to fit exactly what you need and want. We'll figure things out together, shaping a path that's just right for you. Building trust is key—it's what makes our journey successful.

The psychodynamic approach recognises that your past experiences, including those in childhood, can shape and influence your present patterns of thoughts and behaviours. We all have unconscious feelings that influence our current thinking and can help shed light on the problems we are facing. By bringing unconscious feelings to the fore and exploring them more deeply, you can gain a new perspective on your struggles, which will help you understand them better and find ways to cope with them.
As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I may also draw on other approaches. These include transactional analysis to help you understand your communication and relationships, CBT as a practical, solution-based therapy to break unwanted patterns, and mindfulness to help you stay present and cope better with your issues.
Before we begin working together, I offer a free 20-minute online consultation. This is a chance for me to learn more about you and the issues you're facing, and for you to ask any questions about counselling. Ultimately, it’s an opportunity for us to decide if we're a good fit to work together.
Sessions usually take place weekly to help you make the best progress possible, although we can also work together fortnightly. Each session lasts 50 minutes and is held either in person in Islington or online via Google Meet.
Sometimes, one session is all you need. Whether you're feeling stuck, facing a specific challenge, or simply need a space to talk something through, single-session therapy offers focused support without the commitment of ongoing work. It’s a one-off opportunity to gain clarity, reflect, and take a step forward.

Choosing online therapy can be a game changer. You can access it from the comfort of your own space, saving time and money on commuting. It offers flexibility and convenience, and importantly, research shows it's just as effective as in-person therapy.
That being said, some people prefer seeing their therapist in person. Being in the same physical space can create a sense of trust and comfort that makes it easier to open up. Plus, the act of physically going to a session can provide a dedicated space for self-care, away from the distractions of home.
Whichever mode you choose, you'll receive the same level of attention and care, as both are equally effective.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling and psychotherapy works, or to arrange an initial consultation. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
All enquires are usually answered within 48 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
I do not work on Mondays, so any enquiries received at the weekend will be responded to when I return to the office on Tuesday.
